Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
TME Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products. Engineers & Buyers develop and manage all aspects of the relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over Europe. As a part of the overall European Purchasing team of approximately 200 people, the Body Division is responsible for the purchase of functional parts (e.g. stampings, lamps, air bags, …etc.) interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your project
After a period of integration to learn our philosophy and internal way of working, we will request your contribution by assisting experienced buyers & engineers.
You will be expected:
- to assist the status tracking of automation and process improvement projects at our supplier
- Update/Improve a SharePoint idea database
- Support supplier training documents and manuals creation
For this task a basic understanding of automotive parts manufacturing processes is required.
Additionally, you will support the communication and activities with suppliers and Toyota engineers/ buyers/ admin
Your Profile
- Student for bachelor’s or master’s degree in purchasing, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, Information systems, business management with focus on automotive industry.
- Understanding of automotive parts manufacturing processes
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and PowerApps
- Ability to work with Outlook, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams).
- Highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability.
- Can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Have good communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English (= working language)

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
