Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a CAE Engineer Summer Intern. The CAE Engineering Intern will support safety related product development with proper CAE tools. The intern will also involve in other activities such as benchmarking, process improvement, etc.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- To assist / perform safety related CAE projects and help to improve the current CAE processes
- Create computer models and process the results to learn the standard process of CAE
- Help improve model accuracy, and process automation.
- Work on safety R&D related CAE using LS-DYNA
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years’ undergraduate studies completed, or graduate students
- Coursework toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Biomedical Engineering or other engineering related field, such as solid / fluid mechanics, dynamics, and strength of materials, etc.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- Understand the theory and application of finite element method (FEA)
- Experience using CAD software, and LS-DYNA CAE software tools
- Some computer programming skill is preferred: Python, Scripting
- Excellent organization and communication skills required
- Demonstrated leadership skills. Highly analytical and detail-oriented
