Senior EHS Specialist

About the Position
TOYO Solar Technology LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the development and operation of its new 1.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in the Houston area.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish and have hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permits and regulatory compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, and local authorities.
- Oversee construction safety, site inspections, hazard prevention, and contractor compliance.
- Support environmental, health, and safety programs during facility startup and production.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain EHS documentation, training records, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Support hazardous waste management, fire safety approvals, risk assessments, and environmental permitting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on EHS experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing or new facility construction.
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental permits, hazardous waste registrations, or regulatory approvals.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements, TCEQ regulations, environmental compliance, and construction safety.
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; ability to communicate with Chinese-speaking colleagues is an additional advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, solar, semiconductor, photovoltaic, or other advanced industrial facilities.
- Experience with environmental permitting, fire safety approvals, and Houston-area regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting greenfield construction, commissioning, and manufacturing startup.

- Annual salary: $70,000–$95,000, based on qualifications and experience.
