Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Discovery Review Specialist to support complex toxic tort litigation. This role requires strong document review skills, issue spotting, and the ability to manage large datasets efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law. This role involves reviewing legal documents for content and privilege review. The Discovery Review Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations and assisting attorneys in preparing for litigation activities.
Duties
- Review and analyze discovery documents (medical, corporate, regulatory)
- Tag documents for relevance, issues, and privilege
- Organize and manage files in SharePoint and litigation systems
- Track productions (Bates ranges, logs)
- Identify key documents and support attorneys in case preparation
- Follow structured workflows with accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience or background in legal research, legal document review, or litigation support within a law office setting (required).
- Familiarity with legal platforms including Nextpoint is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume work
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SharePoint or similar systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing systems, proofreading documents, transcription work, and contract review.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong document reviewing experience in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Mass tort or toxic tort experience
- ESI platforms (Nextpoint)
- Medical record review experience
