Responsibilities:

• Directly provide nutrition services according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional care of residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations

• Work effectively with others to ensure that quality nutritional services are being provided on a daily basis

• Act as a resource to the Dining Services Department Head to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment

• Liaise between the dining department and clinical staff to ensure seamless communication

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university

• Master's degree in Dietetics or related field from an accredited college or university starting January 1, 2024

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in the state of Maryland or acquires licensure and registration within 6 months of hire date

• Dependable experience working in facilities utilizing quantity food production methods

• Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, interdisciplinary team, and other personnel

• Knowledge of dietary practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in a nursing facility

• Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and provide guidance to other personnel
