What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at TownePlace Suites Marriott Hotel?
Hello! We are seeking both a full-time and part-time Laundry Attendant for our TownePlace Suites in Morristown managed by Gibson Hotel Management.
What The Job Looks Like:
As a laundry attendant at TPS Morristown, you'll interact with team members and guests on a daily basis while delivering southern hospitality in the Marriott fashion. Your job will include but is not limited to:
- Running industrial washers and dryers to keep turning dirty linen and terry into clean for use throughout the public areas, guestrooms, and back-of-house areas
- Record monthly inventory of linen and discards
- Perform reclaim procedures to treat stained linen and terry
- Maintain a clean and tidy laundry room
- Deliver cleaned linen and terry to the appropriate storage rooms on the guest floors as well as stock the laundry room
- Assist with public areas on an as-needed basis
- Report directly to the assistant housekeeping manager and housekeeping manager
- Report to the general manager
- Other duties as assigned by leadership

What the Job Takes:

- Experience with industrial laundry operations
- Experience in an in-person customer service environment
- Experience in hotel hospitality (Marriott/Hilton/IHG experience preferred)
Pay and Working Hours:
The starting wage for this position is $13.50/hr.
We are a 24/7, 365 days a year operation so we ask for open availability. We are happy to work with scheduling demands outside of work so long as they fit in with our scheduling needs.
