Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance operations within our facility. This role involves managing housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and coordinating cleaning activities across various areas to provide a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules and staff assignments
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Oversee cleaning tasks such as floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial duties to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with hotel or facility standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning protocols to optimize productivity while maintaining high-quality service
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or special cleaning requests
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, floor care, or janitorial services within hospitality or industrial environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills in a housekeeping or custodial setting
- Excellent knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards and practices
- Ability to train staff effectively in various cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments
- Experience in housekeeper management is highly desirable
