Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality or janitorial services, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role involves managing housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and coordinating cleaning activities across various areas to provide a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules and staff assignments
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Oversee cleaning tasks such as floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial duties to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with hotel or facility standards
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
• Develop and implement efficient cleaning protocols to optimize productivity while maintaining high-quality service
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or special cleaning requests
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, floor care, or janitorial services within hospitality or industrial environments
• Strong leadership and team management skills in a housekeeping or custodial setting
• Excellent knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards and practices
• Ability to train staff effectively in various cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments
• Experience in housekeeper management is highly desirable
