Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical machinery using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex system problems accurately.
• Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing maintenance support and ensuring safety standards are met.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or upgrades when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system inspections for compliance and future reference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related service technician roles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair diverse equipment efficiently.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for diagnosing system issues.
• Experience in construction or building maintenance is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors effectively.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and general maintenance procedures.
