Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support equipment maintenance or facility upgrades.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
- Assist with residential painting projects for facility updates or repairs to ensure a professional appearance.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain safety standards by following protocols during all maintenance activities and ensuring proper use of tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance support.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in managing maintenance teams or projects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
