Towne Centre Family Dental in Hillsborough, NJ (Central NJ) is hiring an experienced (F/T, P/T) Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support and patient care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to comprehensive dental services, including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all patients. The successful applicant will embrace being a part of a team and will have a thorough understanding of infection control protocols.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and providing chairside support using aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain infection control standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist with dental imaging procedures including 3D scanning and dental x-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Requirements
- Some experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, or endodontics.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Softdent for scheduling, billing, and medical records management.
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices used in modern dental practices.
Flexible hours, great working environment. Full time and Part time positions available.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
