Position Summary
This position assists the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre in running smooth day-to-day office operations by supporting the full-time Box Office Administrative Specialist.
Serving in a part-time capacity, this role will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties for the Renaissance Centre specifically related to box office operations, Centre customer service, daily receipt processing, addressing patron inquiries, front-of-house operations, and concessions management. Most work is performed during weekday hours, but the ability to work a flexible schedule for performances and events is expected. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Essential Functions
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to visitors and customers in person or by phone.
- Sell tickets in person, online, and over the phone during box office business hours and on days of events.
- Assist patrons with ticketing inquiries, seating requests, and accessibility needs.
- Process payments accurately, maintain a balanced cash drawer, reconcile sales, and finalize end-of-shift cash drawer reports.
- Issue will-call tickets and manage ticket pickups.
- Maintain accurate records of ticket sales and daily reports.
- Assist in information input, data reporting, and seating charts through E-tix software.
- Provide general information about events, programming and venue policies.
- Oversee box office in absence of Box Office Administrative Specialist.
- Assist with crowd management and front-of-house duties during performances.
- Support concessions operations, including inventory management and restocking.
- Assist with special projects or events as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of this classification.

- Computer skills with the ability to use various programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email programs, ticketing software, and the Internet.
- Discretion when dealing with high profile clients and elected officials.
- Is a well-organized, detail-oriented professional who communicates effectively and works seamlessly with vendors, staff, constituents and donors.
- Must be able to work on-site daily.
- Outgoing, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with volunteers and donors.
- Ability to work collaboratively and in an energetic and changing environment.
- Employs good judgment. Has discretion and respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Enthusiasm for and commitment to the arts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Prior customer service or ticketing experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Etix, EventPro, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic computer applications is a plus.
- Able to work frequent evenings and weekends.
- Professional, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of reaching, standing, walking, grasping, fingering, talking, and hearing.
- Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, perform extensive reading, perform visual inspections, and operate a personal computer.
