The Town of Plymouth seeks applicants for the position of FULL-TIME REGIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE for the Southern Plymouth County Public Health Excellence Collaborative (SPCPHEC) which services the following towns: Carver, Duxbury, Kingston, Plymouth, Plympton, and Wareham.
ABOUT US: The SPCPHEC is a coalition of six towns operating as a Shared Services Arrangement (SSA) under the Massachusetts Public Health Excellence (PHE) grant program. Funding is currently guaranteed through June 30, 2027.
JOB SUMMARY: The SSA is seeking a compassionate Public Health Nurse to provide Full-Time PHN with benefits (See below) or Part-Time PHN without benefits that services for the six towns. This is a hybrid position with some duties including MAVEN, MIIS, and the preparation of educational materials to be performed remotely. The work environment requires travel to the six towns of the Collaborative and involves meeting with clients or contacts in homes, the police or fire station, the schools, the Council on Aging or the Recreation Departments.

STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The scope of services for this position spans the six towns participating in the Collaborative. This position provides health promotion and education programs as well as health clinics; wellness and disease prevention services for residents and assists the Collaborative’s epidemiologist in conducting investigations of communicable and non-communicable disease outbreaks.
EDUCATION & EXPERINCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Massachusetts Board of Registered Nurse Certification plus previous experience in clinical, public health or community-based nursing is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MAVEN training within two (2) months of hire
- Foundations for the Local Public Health Practice course completed within six (6) months of hire
- Valid Class D motor vehicle license
- CPR Certification
- Current proof of immunizations and a TB test

Full-time position; Salary Range: $41.00 to $46.00/per hour based on education and experience, 37.5 hours per week (Remote work available). This posting will remain open filled.
