The Town of Plainville Senior Center is currently seeking a part-time Newsletter Editor/Communication Specialist.
Responsibilities include creating, writing, preparing and editing the monthly newsletter. Designing and managing social media platforms. Assisting with general office needs, including answering phones, assisting members, etc.
Candidate must have a very creative mindset in regard to writing and graphic design work with a keen understanding of media landscapes. Attention to detail is a must, excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines and last-minute changes. Candidate must have working knowledge of Canva, Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
This position is up to 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 9:30am - 2:30pm and Fridays 9am-1pm (somewhat flexible hours). Rate of pay is $20.50 per hour.
