ESPN Creative Studio is a unit within the Content division of ESPN. Our staff comprises Motion Graphics, Edit, Visual Storytelling, Production Enhancements and Innovations, Creative Operations, and the Music group. Positions within Creative Studio include Video Editors, Post Editors, Producer Editors, Sound Designers, Graphic Designers, Project Managers and Art Directors, etc. We are the go-to destination to conceptualize, develop, and execute content creation across all domestic and international ESPN distribution platforms.

TheAssociate Editor is an entrylevel role withinESPN Creative Studio, supporting Creative Daily Editorial or Creative Post Editorial. This role is focused on developing foundational video editing skills, applying established workflows, and contributing reliably to team-based production in a fastpaced environment. The Associate Editor performs routine assignments, works within standardized procedures, and builds technical competence through structured, hands-on experience and guidance from more senior video editors.

Responsibilities:

• Performsroutine and structured editing assignmentsusing nonlinear editing software in support of dailyorpostproduction content needs in a fast-paced production environment.
• Edits contentin accordance withexisting procedures, naming conventions, SOPs, and high-quality standards.
• Conductsbasic quality control checksand makes standard corrective adjustments to ensure all created content meets ESPN's high standards.
• Communicates clearly with editors, producers, and partners to ensure success of assignments and accomplishments.
• Works collaboratively within the Edit team and followsdirectionto meetassigned deadlines and productionobjectives.
• Participates inassigned training and development opportunitiesto build technical skills, workflow knowledge, and creativeproficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of editing or related experience.
• Working knowledge ofnonlinear editing software(Adobe Premiere, Avid,Edius, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Familiarity withAdobe Creative Suite applications(After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Basic understanding ofbroadcast video and audio quality standardsand compliance requirements.
• Ability to follow direction and perform effectively within afastpaced, deadlinedriven production environment.
• Proficient computer skills, includingMicrosoft Office 365 and Teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and adjusted schedules as required by production needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of non-linear and social media production workflows.
• Knowledge of PC and/or Mac operating systems.
• Bilingual (written and spoken) in both English and Spanish.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's Degreein Communications, Studio Production, Journalism, or related field Vocational School or related experience

The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $63,700.00 to $87,500.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
