What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Driver/Operator/Laborer position at Town of Peru?
Job Summary
Full-time position, 4-10’s Monday through Thursday 6am-4pm plus overtime depending on weather. Nights/ weekends/ and holidays may be required.
· Must be able to sit or stand for long periods
· Must be able to handle stressful situations
· Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
· Plowing snow requires long hours of continuous driving in winter conditions
· Working outside in cold and hot weather conditions
· Working nights, weekends and holidays during storms. Snow, rain and wind
High school diploma or GED required
CDL is required
Pre-employment drug screening will be required along with random drug and alcohol testing
