Responsibilities
- Safely operate camp vans to transport campers and staff to and from activity sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance; report any issues promptly
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking and going over safety rules, head counts, and and ensuring comfort throughout the journey
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during driving duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, route changes, or safety concerns
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels or tire pressure as needed to ensure vehicle reliability
Requirements
- Valid CT driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 3 years experience in driving children in vans or buses
- Standard Class D license with an "A" (Activity Vehicle) public passenger endorsement at minimum
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and route instructions consistently
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
