What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Aide position at Town of Meredith?
The Meredith Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Library Aide to join our team for 20 hours per week.
This position includes some Saturdays and at least one evening per week. Starting pay is $18.99-$23.72 per hour, depending on qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma (required)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills and comfort learning library technology
- Previous library experience preferred, especially experience with the Atriuum integrated library system
As a Library Aide, you'll play an important role in keeping the library running smoothly. Responsibilities include checking materials in and out, assisting patrons at the circulation desk, shelving library materials, helping maintain an organized and welcoming library, and performing a variety of other tasks that support daily library operations.
This is an active position that requires frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, carrying, pushing, and standing throughout the shift.
