What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Gymnastics Instructor position at Town of Herndon, VA?
The Town of Herndon is seeking a part-time Assistant Gymnastics Instructor for the Herndon Community Center’s youth gymnastics skill-based program. We are seeking someone who has availability in their schedules on Tuesdays and Thursdays this Fall and beyond from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. While past experience with gymnastics are not required, previous gymnastics, cheerleading, or sports team experience is preferred.
- Under guidance of Head Gymnastics Instructor, assist in teaching appropriate curriculum to children under 10 years.
- Create and maintain a safe, positive, growth-oriented environment.
- Expected to set up and clean up before and after each class taught.
- Expected to be punctual and someone who can be relied upon to communicate absence or tardiness.
- Past experiences with teaching or participating in gymnastics, cheerleading, or sports teams and/or competition.
- Past experiences working with children.
- Responsible, energetic, and positive.
- CPR & First Aid certification desired.
