Job Opening: Part-Time Zoning Department Clerk
The Town of Hague is accepting applications for a Part-Time Zoning Department Clerk.
Position Details:
-Schedule: 3 days per week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
-Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
Location: Town of Hague Community Center, 9793 Graphite Mountain Road, Hague, NY 12836
Responsibilities:
-Provide clerical support to the Zoning Department
-Assist with zoning applications, permits, and record keeping
-Answer phones and respond to resident inquiries
-Prepare correspondence, filing, and data entry
-Prepare meeting agendas and set up materials for Zoning Board and Planning Board meetings
-Prepare and send legal notices/public hearing notices to the local newspaper
-Work closely with the Zoning Officer and other town staff
Qualifications:
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
-Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and email)
-Ability to meet deadlines for notices and board preparations
-Prior office or municipal experience preferred, but not required
