General Statement of Duties
Preference will be given to current Town of Greenwich employees who are members of Teamsters Local #456.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, plus two (2) years of experience involved with the repairing of both electric and non-electric equipment, plus one (1) year of experience in infrastructure or facilities maintenance.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of the methods and materials used in repairing parking meters and other parking revenue collection equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge of parking meter technology, including hand-held computers for diagnostics and downloading revenue data.
Proven ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Proven ability to maintain accurate records and prepare maintenance reports.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with peers, supervisors, vendors and the public.
Demonstrated physical ability to perform all job functions, including walking for long stretches in inclement weather, as well as lifting and installing parking meter posts weighing 75 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.

Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains parking meters and other revenue collection equipment to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
Replaces parking collection equipment.
Installs and removes parking signage, as directed.
Collects payments from parking meters and other parking revenue collection equipment; obtains revenue data from meter equipment.
Conducts meter audits.
Troubleshoots complaints relative to defective operation of parking meters and other parking revenue collection equipment and takes appropriate action.
Requisitions parts and supplies and makes cost estimates of damaged meters.
Inspects and reports unsafe conditions in municipal parking areas, including lighting, safety equipment, ventilation systems, rails, stairwells, and other related equipment; mitigates public hazards.
Assists with the enhancement and maintenance of municipal parking areas, ensuring signs and poles are in good condition, removal of litter, preventing overgrowth of greenery that affects visibility of parking signage, as well as trimming grass and edges.
Assists with snow removal and salt application to municipal parking lots.
Coordinates, inspects and reports on work completed by sub-contractors and other municipal departments with respect to maintenance, repairs and enhancements in municipal parking areas, including, but not limited to, snow and ice control and landscape-related activities.
Completes written reports relative to operations of the municipal parking infrastructure.
Maintains records of repairs and inventory.
Supports Town policies and philosophies.
Performs other related work as assigned.

All positions may be subject to an interview process. The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate.
