This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a friendly and respectful setting. Some meals are prepared on-site, while others are provided through an outside partner, requiring coordination and basic food preparation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily lunch service
- Assist with light meal preparation and food handling
- Receive and serve meals delivered from an outside vendor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area
- Interact positively with residents, fostering a welcoming atmosphere
- Monitor meal quality and report any concerns
Qualifications:
- Experience with cooking or food service preferred
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Patience, kindness, and a genuine interest in working with older adults
