POLICE SERGEANT

As a Police Captain, you will take on a critical leadership role—overseeing operations, mentoring supervisory staff, and working closely with department leadership to ensure excellence in public safety and community engagement.

Current Pay Range and Benefits:
- This is a non-exempt position.
- 12 Paid Holidays in addition to salary.
- Take home vehicle.
- Paid overtime or may be accrued as compensatory time
- Hours will be assigned by the supervisor.
- The Town of Denton will provide uniforms.

- LEO is paid based on the 171 rule. All hours over 171 in a 28-day cycle are considered overtime. Staff can receive paid overtime or elect to accrue as compensatory time.
- Vacation Leave, accrued monthly
- Sick Leave, 8 hours accrued per month
- Longevity Pay, paid once a year.
- Continuing Education provided.
