What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Supervisor position at Town of Danvers?
The Town of Danvers seeks qualified candidates to join our team as a Danvers Recreation Fun Club Program Supervisor. This full-time, benefited position performs a variety of duties including coordinating enrichment activities for the elementary-aged children, supervises Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders in their roles at the Fun Club program. Maintains accurate and organized records for all children in program. Facilitates monthly staff meetings. Oversees a summer program in an administrator role designed to provide care, enrichment and growth. Works with Recreation department staff to provide additional programming and events outside of the Fun Club and summer programs as well as assists in the design of marketing materials and campaigns.
Qualified applicants must be 20 years old at the time of hire, Minimum of one (1) year of childcare experience and six (6) months of experience working with school age children required. High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management or similar preferred. Candidates must possess current First Aid and CPR certifications. In addition, this position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
This position works 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Exact hours are dependent upon the school schedule and may vary slightly due to early release days or school vacations. Non-union pay scale, starting at $20.97/hour, with the ability to move through scale via step system to a maximum step of $35.85/hour. Hiring range DOQ. Excellent benefits.
