The Town of Danvers welcomes applications for the full-time benefited position of Administrative Assistant with the Assessing Division. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff – including a commitment to professional development and policies to support a good work/life balance. The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative, operational, and secretarial functions in direct support of the Chief Assessor and the staff, services, programs, and activities of the Assessing Division.
The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, education, volunteerism, and transferable skills as qualifying, unless otherwise designated as required. Minimum qualifications include Associate degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three (3) years to Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience, preferably in the municipal environment or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience; Notary public certification or ability to obtain strongly preferred and may be required; Experience working with the public and responding to customers service requests preferred. Advanced understanding with computers and Microsoft Office is required. Valid driver’s license.
This position works 35 hours per week. Union position (Grade 4) pay scale starting at $28.97 hourly, with the ability to move through scale (via step system) to the max step at $36.70/hourly. Hiring range DOQ. Excellent benefits.
