Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Confidential Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team. This dual role position requires someone who is comfortable managing administrative tasks while maintaining accurate governmental financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage phone calls, emails, and scheduling
- Maintain an organized filing system (digital and physical)
- Prepare invoices, vouchers, track expenses, deposits, and reconcile accounts
- Handle payroll, State and Federal Tax Filing, W2's, and NYS Retirement reporting.
- Assist with financial reporting and budgeting. Monitoring all funds for financial condition and report to Supervisor and Board.
- Prepare Annual Financial Report for NYS
- Support general office operations
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while addressing client inquiries or concerns.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Clinton County for the past 30 days.
- One year experience in maintaining financial accounts/records.
- Highschool diploma
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with office software applications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
