The Town of Bourne, and affirmative action, equal opportunity employer, has an opening for a full-time Assistant Town Accountant in the Finance Office. We are seeking a reliable candidate who would be responsible assisting the Town Accountant in the administration and supervision of department functions. Work includes performing accounting duties, assisting in the preparation of budgets, processing and monitoring, expenditures, verifying accuracy of information, maintaining records, and preparing financial reports.
Qualifications and Education
Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred; five years of experience in accounting or financial management experience; municipal experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Full/Part Time & Hours
Full time position (37.5 hours/week)
Salary
Starting range: $39.63- $41.43 per hour
This is a union, benefited position with dental, health, PTO and retirement.
