The Town of Boone Public Works Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Worker in the Landscape Division. Performs intermediate semiskilled and skilled work in a variety of installation, maintenance and repair projects; operates equipment in connection with tasks; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
Education and Experience
Any combination of experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some maintenance and/or construction experience.
Special Requirements
Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina. May require pesticide/herbicide certification.
Salary
$44,447. Employee will serve a six-month probation.
Special Note
All offers of employment are subject to successful completion of a controlled substance screening, medical examination and extensive background check.
