What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I Math Tutor position at Town of Andover?
Part-time hourly tutor to provide literacy and/or mathematics instruction and assessment to individual and small groups of students. The tutor will collaborate with the school’s academic specialists, instructional coaches, classrooms teachers, and administrators in order to ensure student successDirect service to students between 6-19 hours per week at the tutor rate $56.69/hr with up to two hours of weekly planning time at $40.16/hr.
- Provide instruction to groups of students or individual students in pull-out and/or push-in model to provide targeted instruction;
- Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, maintain applicable instructional data, and regularly communicate with the classroom teacher and/or building leaders;
- Participate in parent events and meetings as necessary; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Demonstrates effective collaboration, communication, and organization skills. Certified Teacher required (elementary license for Grades 1-6, or middle school license). Prior teaching experience preferred.
