AMHERST Aquatics Coach The Aquatics Coach assists in the planning,
coordination, and implementation of multiple levels of aquatics
programming within the Amherst United Swim Program. Coaches the Amherst
United Recreational Swim Team, as well as youth swimming. Supervises the
activities of program participants and other staff to assure compliance
with pool safety protocol. This role may include evening and weekend
work and may involve some irregular hours. MAJOR DUTIES: Assists in the
planning, coordination, and implementation of multiple levels of
aquatics programming within the Amherst United Swim Program; Supervises
participants of the Amherst United Swim Program; Coaches the Amherst
United Recreational Swim Team and youth swimming. Supervises pool
activities and ensures compliance with pool safety protocol and with
applicable laws and regulations; Reports concerns to the Aquatics
Program Director. Incorporates and promotes department goals into work.
Assists with the recruitment and training of part-time staff and
volunteers associated with the Amherst United Swim Program and Amherst
United Recreational Swim Team. Assists with the assessment of program
needs; Recommends program purchases to assure maintenance of necessary
supplies. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience coaching swim teams at
collegiate or USA Club levels or teaching swimming lessons. Current Red
Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications or ability to
acquire certifications within first four months of employment. Ability
to communicate effectively. Ability and willingness to perform some
evening and weekend work and to work some irregular hours. PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS: WSI certification Lifeguard Instructor certification

Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI)
