Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in a full-time capacity. We are currently offering a $2000 sign on bonus for Full time position. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set, including expertise in various clinical procedures, EMR/EHR systems, and specialized care areas such as critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional health services. Candidates with experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, long-term care, or home health are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Administer medications and injections following aseptic techniques and medical documentation protocols.
- Perform advanced procedures including IV infusion, catheterization (urinary and vascular), suturing, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and wound care such as ostomy care.
- Manage airway support with ventilator management and assist with complex diagnostic evaluations like sonography or gastric lavage when required.
- Provide specialized care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal patients on ventilators, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in acute settings such as Level I/II trauma centers or emergency rooms to deliver trauma medicine and acute pain management.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices and sterile processing standards while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, nutrition, and post-acute care strategies.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems ensuring adherence to NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements.
- Participate in case management activities including triage assessments and coordination of home & community-based care services.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in hospital settings such as ICU, PICU, NICU, emergency room or trauma centers; experience in teaching hospitals is preferred.
- Background in critical care transport, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers or post-acute environments including skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities.
- Familiarity with a wide range of medical procedures including cardiac catheterization, dialysis support, dermal fillers (nice-to-have), esthetic laser treatments (nice-to-have), or surgical assistance such as OR experience or ambulatory surgery centers.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding is advantageous.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors (geriatrics & memory/dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterile techniques essential for maintaining safety standards across all clinical procedures.
