Schedule: This is position is mostly remote with one onsite visit to principal's home per week.
Duties: This role is for a highly organized and technically proficient Private Family Bookkeeper to provide dedicated financial management for a principal’s household. Operating as an independent contractor for 15–20 hours per week, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing all aspects of digital bill pay and maintaining rigorous data integrity within Quicken. This includes the accurate categorization of transactions, account reconciliation, and providing real-time financial snapshots to ensure the principals have a clear understanding of their cash flow and obligations. Beyond the technical requirements, the role serves as a vital support system for a principal who will transition out of active financial oversight, requiring a partner who can anticipate needs and execute tasks with 100% accuracy and total discretion.
Requirements: While the position is designed to be mostly remote, the onboarding phase will require a commitment to weekly onsite visits at the principal’s residence in Half Moon Bay to facilitate a thorough transfer of knowledge and historical processes. The ideal candidate will possess a background in bookkeeping or family office support, demonstrating an understanding of Quicken and online banking platforms. Success in this position depends heavily on interpersonal chemistry and the ability to communicate with patience and clarity, ensuring that the principal feels confident in offloading their daily financial responsibilities.
Benefits: This position is being offered to Independent Contractors. Principal will reimburse mileage for travel to Half Moon Bay.
