Duties
- Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling to ensure a smooth flow of patient visits
- Handle medical collections accurately, including processing payments and insurance claims with transparency and professionalism
- Manage phone inquiries, providing clear information about services, appointments, and pet care advice
- Maintain organized records of patient histories, treatment plans, laboratory results, and billing details
- Support kennel operations by coordinating animal intake and discharge procedures, ensuring proper animal husbandry practices are followed
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments using appropriate techniques for different species and sizes
- Facilitate laboratory processes such as sample collection or processing to support diagnostic testing and veterinary critical care
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques for dogs, cats, horses, and other species
- Experience with pet grooming, pet care, and animal handling to effectively support client needs and animal comfort
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures to ensure safe sample handling and testing accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly to pet owners and team members alike
