- Perform daily maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, HVAC, and building system issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, corridors, equipment, and public spaces to identify maintenance needs.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests while ensuring minimal disruption.
- Support emergency maintenance needs and participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, clean, and orderly condition.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, union guidelines, and resort operating standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Strong handyman skill set, including general trades experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical repairs, etc.).
- Previous experience in a resort, hotel, or hospitality environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety documents, and work orders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift, push, and carry heavy equipment and work in various physical environments (heights, tight spaces, outdoors).
- Must meet union membership and classification requirements upon hire.
