Job Description

Tower Semiconductor Newport Beach, Inc. is searching for a Prevent Maintenance Technician who can learn and effectively utilize knowledge from previous mechanical or electronic experiences. This position requires good mechanical skills and a basic understanding of electricity. This position is primarily responsible for executing the routine preventative maintenance procedures and schedules defined by the maintenance department. The incumbent should have fundamental working skills with hand tools and simple test instruments such as a voltmeter. Be capable of working effectively in a team environment and adapt to training and feedback as a development tool. Incumbent will have to be able to comprehend basic concepts of vacuum, chemistry, and tool operations.

• You can Perform regular preventative maintenance activities on fab equipment
• You can process chamber parts removal, chamber cleaning, replacement of consumable parts, conditioning of process chambers as part of a PM procedure.
• You can track upcoming PM's and plan accordingly for execution.
• You can stage PM kits for upcoming PM's. Accurate removals of parts from SAP
• You can assist with sending out of "used" pm kits for cleaning
• You can conduct or assist with periodic pm activities on sub-fab equipment such as abatement tools and vacuum systems.
• You can perform minor troubleshooting of issues encountered during preventative maintenance activities.
• You have efficient time management to complete PM's by end of shift.
• You have excellent attention to detail and follow up skills.
• You can maintain a clean working area. Support and execute area 5S responsibilities.
• Yu can effectively and accurately document maintenance activity in PROMIS and on the PM checklists. Provide inputs to effectively improve the PM efficiency and cost.
• You can close collaboration with the Senior Maintenance technicians on work priorities and assignments.
• You can work through conflicts effectively to continuously improve relationships and communication.
• You can follow quality standards and procedures. Alert management to issues that could negatively impact quality.
• You can work in cleanroom environment, long periods working on your feet, occasional bending, lifting and reaching.
• You can adhere to strict safety practices and procedures.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma
• AS Degree in Electronics or previous military experience is very desirable but not required. An AS Degree in Electronics (or equivalent experience) would be required for advancement beyond PM tech 3.

$18.50 - 20.50/hr
