Responsible for inspecting and verifying engineering designs for photomasks using CAD software in a Linux environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the following)
- Using a variety of CAD design software and tools in a Linux / Unix environment
- Prior experience with Synopsys CATs, Cadence K2, Mentor Calibre software is a plus
- Supporting design rule check (DRC) of customer data
- Executing XOR and Boolean functions on data to ensure accuracy
- Following detailed procedures without deviating
- Feedback of wafer and mask information to internal and external customers.
- Perform complex work/ comprehend complex ideas clearly.
- Fab lithography experience preferred
- Must be a US person
- This is an in-person position (non-remote)
Working Environment:
Assignment Complexity
- Work assignments are routine in nature but require technical understanding of design and tapeout processes.
Accountability/Discretion
- Will perform tasks with engineering supervision.
Financial Responsibilities
- Assignments have direct financial impact on the business performance. Erroneous decisions will cause significant delays and cost.
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of scientific concepts and expertise in one or more technical areas will enable more complex assignments involving some analysis and decision making.
Working Relationships
- Regularly works with other similarly classified employees within the company and supports MaskCAD as well as the engineering teams. Communicates regularly with internal and external customers.
Supervision
- Does not have management responsibilities. Handles routine tasks with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions -
- Normal office conditions
- Use of multi-disciplinary approaches to problem solving and knowledge of several processes or technologies important to the company
- Previous experience in a semiconductor cleanroom / wafer fab, or basic knowledge of the manufacturing process is a plus
- BS degree inEngineering with Entry level experience or AA/AS with 2 years relevant experience
- Previous experience with CAD software and layout, or tools from Mentor, Synopsis, or Cadence is a plus
Wageband:
$25.19 - $36.06/hr
