What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician - Women's Health Pavilion position at Tower Health?
Part-Time Day Shift
- Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
- Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
- Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
- Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals.
- Completing Birth Certificate information
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Prior direct patient care experience preferred but not required for employment.
Certification and Licensure
- BLS Certification
