What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cert Pharmacy Tech I position at Tower Health?
Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s), the certified pharmacy technician assists in all pharmacy operations' functions related to: (1) preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; (2) maintenance of drug inventories (e.g., re-stocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital, drug packaging/re-packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock, etc.); and, (3) processing admission, discharge, and transfer of patient information and medication. The pharmacy technician acts as an extension of the pharmacist so as to enable the pharmacist to safely and efficiently perform their required duties as they relate to the medication use system.
This unique and exciting position functions under the direct supervision of the pharmacists.
Full Time Evening Position, Hours are 3pm-11:30pm with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Education Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- High School Diploma - OR - GED completed within 6 months of hire
- Relevant Experience
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required upon hire or within the first 6 months of employment
