Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications and bakery standards
• Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, pastries, doughs, and other confections following established recipes and food safety guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools safely and efficiently during food production
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
• Package finished products carefully for delivery or display, ensuring presentation quality and product integrity
• Assist in food preparation tasks related to cake decorating, pastry assembly, and other culinary activities as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers’ special requests or inquiries about baked goods

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or related food production roles within the food industry
• Strong skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and intricate design execution
• Knowledge of baking principles, dough preparation, and recipe adherence for baked goods such as cakes, pastries, and confections
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace in high-volume production settings
• Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and inventory management
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members
• Understanding of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices
• Previous catering or culinary experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning new skills is essential
