Maintenance Planner and Scheduler

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to join our food manufacturing management team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Your expertise in maintenance department scheduling software and project management tools will drive coordination across teams, manage project timelines, and support cost control initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale food manufacturing industry engineering projects, utilizing your strong analysis skills and food industry experience to keep projects on track from inception through completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other maintenance management software, aligning with project scope and objectives
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish realistic timelines and milestones
• Monitor project progress through regular updates, identifying potential delays or conflicts early and implementing corrective actions
• Analyze schedule data using Excel for trend analysis, resource allocation, and performance metrics to optimize workflow efficiency
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance plans, contracts, and schedule changes to ensure transparency and accountability
• Collaborate with cost management teams to integrate scheduling data with budget tracking systems like HeavyBid or similar tools
• Facilitate communication across all project stakeholders by providing clear scheduling reports and updates in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food manufacturing scheduling and project planning within the food industry
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Bluebeam, ProCore, Mechanical engineering project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of maintenance estimating, contract management, and cost control principles
• Hands-on maintenance site experience with a solid grasp of maintenance plans and site logistics
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets for schedule optimization and risk mitigation
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with heavy projects or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• Project management experience in maintenance is preferred to ensure seamless coordination across multiple teams
