Touchmark on South Hill is a full-service retirement community that has built a reputation for catering to the needs and aspirations of active, involved people 55-plus.  Situated on more than 16 gated acres of beautiful, park-like grounds, we are located at the intersection of Pittsburg and 29th Ave on Spokane’s South Hill.  
 

We are looking for a Gardener/Grounds Keeper. If you're interested in a permanent year-around position that would include a winter transition with winter grounds maintenance and tasks, however, we will accept seasonal workers as well!

                               Pay Ranges from $24.00/hour - $26.00/hour DOE

                                                    Monday - Friday work schedule

The ideal candidate will:

• Be committed to and passionate about 100% customer satisfaction
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have experience performing grounds maintenance in a community setting; previous experience working in a health care environment is a plus, but not required
• Have experience and knowledge of grounds maintenance, including weed pulling and spraying; pruning trees and other foliage; assisting with planting of trees, flowers, and other plants; maintaining sprinkler systems; and reseeding/repairing lawn where needed
• Be able to read, write, and speak English
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors

Tasks include but not limited to:

• Planting flowers
• Caring for plants and flowers- deadheading, fertilizing, pest control
• Weeding garden beds
• Rose care
• Service and Maintenance of Sprinkler Systems
• Gardening/Trimming/Raking
• Power Washing of Porches/Brick
• Gutter Cleaning
• Other Outdoor projects as assigned
• Winter grounds maintenance and tasks

The permanent or seasonal gardener position requires the physical ability to turn, stoop, bend, stretch, move equipment, climb ladders, and lift various items.  Driving company vehicles requires a current driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and a satisfactory driving history.
