Job Summary

Moscow & Pullman Building Supply is in need of a dedicated, hard-working custodian. The successful candidate should have an attention to detail, as they will be expected to regularly maintain and keep clean all inside and outside areas open to the public. The preferred candidate will have a learned and practiced ability to professionally maintain industrial floors. Must demonstrate an ability to be clean, organized, and professional. An ability to work cooperatively with coworkers while being able to take direction from management is a must.

Essential Job Functions

• • Outdoor maintenance such as sweeping, shoveling, weeding, pressure washing and cleaning of sidewalks and other pathways during all seasons. This includes monitoring for and treating of icy walkways during the winter months with proper ice melt.
  • Indoor maintenance including restrooms, mopping and sweeping floors, filter changes, lighting maintenance, and trash and recycle collection.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute a revolving schedule of floor care whereby the floor is stripped of its old wax, cleaned, re-waxed, and then polished. Must be able to work evenings 2 weeks every January for this purpose.
  • Removal and replacement of industrial tile tile as needed.
  • Routine cleaning of the facility break room, coffee station, drinking fountains and sinks. This includes regularly cleaning out dated contents of the employee refrigerator
  • Various occasional duties such as consulting on equipment cleaning, laundering rags, maintaining clocks, clean up from company events such as BBQ's, painting, routine inspection and cleaning of anti-fatigue mats located at all customer service booth
  • Customer service

Working Conditions:

Climate controlled retail environment. Daily periods of time outdoors.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• 2-3 years facility maintenance preferred
• 2-3 years of floor care and maintenance preferred
• Must pass background check
• Must pass drug test
