Position Summary
The PIM Strategist owns the company’s product information library, ensuring that all product data flowing through our Product Information Management (PIM) system (Salsify) is accurate, complete, and consistent. This role provides a single source of truth for internal teams, external partners, and e‑commerce customers, thereby supporting seamless product launches, online merchandising, and compliance with pricing policies.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary owner of product data in Salsify, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all attributes.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve product taxonomy, attribute sets, and classification structures to meet internal and partner requirements.
- Map and distribute product content to all e‑retailers within our portfolio using Salsify’s syndication tools.
- Conduct regular data audits and validations to ensure internal compliance and readiness for publication.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (marketing, merchandising, supply chain) and external customers to gather missing or corrective product information.
- Manage data imports, exports, and automated workflows between Salsify and e‑commerce platforms/ERP systems.
- Monitor product‑data‑quality metrics, generate reports, and proactively address data gaps.
- Maintain and publish Internet Minimum Advertised Pricing (IMAP) documentation for internal teams and customers.
- Provide training and support to cross‑functional teams on best practices for using the PIM system.

Required Skills / Abilities
- 3–5 years of experience in product data management, PIM administration, or a comparable structured‑data role.
- Hands‑on experience with PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Akeneo, Pimcore) and familiarity with ERP/e‑commerce integrations.
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and data‑quality standards.
- Proficiency working with large data sets, advanced spreadsheet functions, and relational databases.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce data‑governance policies and maintain data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across departments and with external partners.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields orequivalent professional experience:
- Information Systems
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Data Management / Analytics
- E‑Commerce
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Salsify Certified Specialist, PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus but not required.
Work Environment & Travel
- Work schedule: Tuesday thru Thursday – on‑site at the Morrow office; Monday & Friday – remote.
- Minimal travel; occasional visits to partner sites or industry events (≤ 5 days per year).
Physical Requirements
- Primarily seated work; occasional standing while collaborating with teams.
- Frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lb. (e.g., moving boxes of documentation).
