Acuity is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of next-generation Commerce and Digital Platform solutions that power our enterprise product and data ecosystem. This leader will oversee onshore and offshore engineering teams and drive modernization across digital commerce, product data, and integration layers.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in enterprise commerce platforms, software architecture, Python-based data processing, and cloud-native systems, along with a strong ability to partner with data engineering teams to enable data-driven digital experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale high-performing global engineering teams across onshore and offshore models, driving technical excellence and execution discipline.
- Own architecture and delivery of enterprise commerce and digital experience platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and business alignment.
- Drive modernization toward cloud-native, microservices, and API-first architectures on Azure.
- Build and integrate real-time data platforms, APIs, and event-driven pipelines powering commerce, personalization, and analytics.
- Implement DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering using Azure DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, Grafana, and Elastic.
- Champion AI-driven innovation, data-driven experiences, and engineering best practices across digital platforms.
- 8 years leading enterprise software engineering teams, including global onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Strong hands-on expertise in .NET, Python, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed system design.
- Proven experience building cloud-native platforms on Azure, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps automation.
- Deep understanding of data engineering, streaming, event-driven architectures, and API-based data services.
- Demonstrated success integrating commerce platforms with enterprise systems such as PIM, PLM, ERP, and MDM.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience modernizing legacy commerce platforms into microservices and API-first architectures.
- Hands-on exposure to Generative AI, personalization engines, and data-driven commerce optimization.
- Strong background in observability and reliability engineering (Grafana, ElasticSearch, Azure Monitor).
- Experience leading large-scale digital commerce, personalization, and analytics platforms.
- Exposure to global product data ecosystems and catalog syndication strategies.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
