Job Title: Insurance Verification Specialist
Location: Green Bay, WI
Shift: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Wage: $25/hr
Contract to hire role
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services.
- Research and confirm benefits with various insurance carriers.
- Identify and verify primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance.
- Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals for procedures and services.
- Ensure the correct paperwork, such as a CMN, is completed for services that require it.
- Explain patient financial responsibility and answer questions about coverage.
- Act as a liaison between the patient, healthcare provider, and insurance carrier.
- Update patient demographic and insurance information in records.
- Provide necessary information to billing staff for accurate and timely claims.
- Assist in resolving insurance-related issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- MUST have experience verifying insurance and understanding of CMNs
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associate's degree preferred
