Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
- Help facilitate activities tailored to various developmental stages, including toddler care, preschool routines, and early childhood education strategies such as Montessori methods.
- Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during playtime, snack time, outdoor activities, and rest periods.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and children's progress.
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices such as Montessori or preschool curricula.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt activities for diverse learning needs.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining flexibility during busy seasonal periods.
- Certification or training in childcare, early childhood education, or special education is advantageous but not mandatory.
