What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Analyst position at Total Warranty Services?
The Billing Analyst will report directly to the Billing Lead and is responsible for utilizing Excel and various systems to review data, manipulate, transform, analyze, and understand large data sets. The role requires someone who is very familiar with the advanced functionality of Excel. Extremely proficient in Index, Match, Lookups, Macros, and heavy VBA coding. This position requires the candidate to be computer savvy with excellent typing and computer skills. The Billing Analyst must be able to have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and handle escalated projects simultaneously while offering efficient solutions. This role requires an understanding of data confidentiality principles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process data from various billing files, transform data into entries used in Workday or database systems and verify accuracy of data processed
- Compare and analyze the billing data against rate charts to validate accuracy of billing data received
- Prepare billing calculations for special client programs
- Prepare and send monthly billing statements to clients
- Understand large data sets and their relationship to accounting data and operations reports
- Review contracts and create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
- Update existing data in multiple systems
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Ability to update existing formulas and macros in Excel
- Assist with department process updates and enhancements as needed
- Must be organized and detailed to handle and multi-task projects by the required deadlines
- Must maintain strict confidentiality with all information and documents
- Ability to create and develop professional relationships with internal and external customer
- Must be highly motivated and proactive to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently and as a member of a team
