Total Team Communications is seeking an Experienced Lead Ribbon/Fusion Splicer to join our growing telecommunications team. We are looking for a highly skilled, dependable leader with a strong background in fiber optic splicing who can take ownership of projects, lead crews, and maintain a high standard of quality and safety.
This is a direct-to-hire position with immediate availability. Work is available across the United States, and candidates should be comfortable traveling as required.
Position: Experienced Lead Ribbon/Fusion Splicer
Pay: $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Negotiable for highly qualified candidates

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of professional fiber optic splicing experience
- Extensive experience with ribbon and fusion splicing
- Proven ability to lead and direct a splicing crew
- Strong understanding of fiber optic construction and network infrastructure
- Experience reading fiber prints, splice diagrams, OTDR results, and project documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot fiber issues and identify splice-related problems
- Experience working with high-count fiber and ribbon fiber systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in the field
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass applicable background and employment requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ribbon and fusion fiber optic splicing
- Lead and oversee splicing crews in the field
- Review splice plans, fiber assignments, and project documentation
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and verification of completed splices
- Ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards
- Identify and resolve field issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate project and splice documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other field personnel
- Train and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians when needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
- Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
