Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing finance and accounting team in Savannah, GA. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in office.

This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger, reconciliation, month-end close, and financial reporting experience. The Senior Accountant will help maintain accurate financial records, support reporting and audit activities, and contribute to process improvements that make the accounting function more efficient.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and supporting documentation
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution
• Prepare account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, balance sheet, and other assigned accounts
• Assist with financial reporting by preparing schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for review
• Support the preparation and review of financial statements and related accounting records
• Partner with internal teams to gather information, validate transactions, and support accurate reporting
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and respond to audit-related requests
• Help ensure accounting activities comply with internal policies, accounting standards, and applicable requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reconciliations, reporting workflows, and documentation
• Support the development and implementation of updated accounting procedures, tools, and system improvements
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information
• Assist with special projects, reporting requests, and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3 or more years of accounting experience
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience in a larger company environment required
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or large construction environments preferred
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Publicly traded company experience is a plus, but not required
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Power BI experience is a plus
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
• Familiarity with AS400-based systems or similar platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite in Savannah, GA

• Base compensation of $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience
• Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in office
