About the Role
Total Rehab Kids is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing outpatient pediatric therapy team. This role is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about evaluations, re-evaluations, and clinical supervision of SLP Assistants, while still occasionally providing direct treatment when needed.
Unlike many SLP jobs, we prioritize your well-being and success by providing a minimum of 2 hours of protected documentation and supervision time daily, helping you stay organized and avoid burnout.
In this position, you will make a meaningful impact on children and families by:
Conducting accurate evaluations and re-evaluations.
Supervising and mentoring SLP Assistants to ensure high-quality care.
Creating and overseeing individualized treatment plans.
Collaborating with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support holistic care.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Pediatric experience, including feeding and swallowing.
Experience supervising SLP Assistants.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations.
Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and oversight for SLP Assistants.
Deliver limited treatment sessions for specialized cases, including pediatric feeding disorders.
Develop, adjust, and oversee individualized treatment plans.
Document all patient care and progress thoroughly, supported by daily protected documentation time.
Educate families and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies at home.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (OT, PT, SLP) to deliver coordinated care.
