MRI Technologist (Part-Time/Per Diem Available)
Long Island Locations | Weekend Availability Required
Pay Range: $49.00 – $56.00 per hour

We are currently seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our growing imaging team. This role is ideal for professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring exceptional patient care.
Position Summary
As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports physicians in evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to provide a calm, reassuring experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans with precision to produce high-quality diagnostic images, Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety compliance
- Prepare and educate patients on MRI procedures, addressing questions and easing concerns
- In the absence of the supervisor or senior technologist, may be designated as acting supervisor
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment by following established safety and aseptic protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding imaging needs and workflow
- Ensure MRI equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the medical records system
- Follow all MRI safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate from diagnostic Radiology Technology Program
- NYS DOH license in Diagnostic Radiology Technology
- ARRT or ARMRIT
- Preferred MRI experience (MSK studies), IV Contrast Injection certification not required
Schedule & Work Requirements
- Part-Time/Per Diem Available
- Alternating weekends
- Rotating shifts may be required based on operational needs in Syosset and Massapequa locations
